DÍA 4: SEGOVIA (1 Parte)

Hoy fue todo una aventura! Fuimos a Segovia para ver el acueducto, un palacio y varios jardines.  El acueducto fue construido por los Romanos y tiene más de 2,000 años!!!!

What an adventure today! We went to Segovia in order to see the aqueduct and the palace, and several gardens.  The aqueduct was built by the Romans and is more than 2,000 years old!!!!

En el la Fortaleza del Alcazar, había algunas pinturas que realmente me llamaron la atención –no en términos de contexto sino los colores , composición, y materiales.  Había una habitación que tenia las paredes de azul. Era una de las visitas mas hermosas que jamás ha visto.

In the Fortress of the Alcazar there were several paintings that really drew my attention- not in terms of context but in color, composition, and materials. There was a room whose walls were covered in a baby blue silk. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen.

Fuimos a comer a un restaurant español y fue sumamente divertido. El plato principal consistió de un cochinillo asado y cuando los meseros lo trajeron , lo primero que hicieron fue nos preguntaron si queríamos cortar el cochinillo con un plato de cerámica. Solamente un plato ordinario! Los meseros empezaron a cortarlo, y Sam se ofreció para hacer el resto. El plato corto los huesos tiernos del cochinillo. Después , el mesero animo a Sam a tirar el plato al suelo. Sam tiró el plato en el suelo para demostrar que era un plato real. Fue muy gracioso y muy entretenido. El cochinillo estaba delicioso. De postre  -un delicioso helado y chocolate fundido y caliente. Era para chuparse los dedos!

We had lunch at a Spanish restaurant and it was extremely fun.  The main dish consisted of a suckling pig and when the waiters brought it to the table, the first thing that they did was ask us if we wanted to cut the suckling pig with a ceramic plate. Only with an ordinary plate! The waiters started to cut the pic and Sam offered to do the rest. The plate cut through the tender suckling pig’s bones. Afterwards, the waiter encouraged Sam to smash the plate to the floor. Sam dropped the plate to the floor to prove it was just a ceramic plate. It was very funny and entertaining. The suckling pig was delicious. For dessert –a delicious ice cream with hot chocolate sauce. It was finger licking good!

Hoy el clima fue absolutamente precioso. Hacia un poco de calor, pero no había humedad, y un poco de viento pero no demasiado.  Me gusta mucho el clima de España en estos momentos. Yo podría quedarme a vivir aquí.

Today the weather was absolutely perfect. It was a little warm, but there was no humidity, and a slight breeze.  I like Spain’s weather very much right now. I could move here right now.

La cena fue fantástica.  Todos comimos en la terraza de un restaurant muy lujoso, con vistas de la ciudad de Madrid. Creo que la cena esta noche realmente unifico a todos los estudiantes. Me lo pase bomba y creo que todos los demás también.

Dinner was fantastic. We all ate on the rooftop of a luxury restaurant with views of Madrid.  I think that tonight’s dinner helped to unify the group. I had a great time and I think so did everyone else.

Mañana volamos a Vigo! Estoy mocionada de conocer a mi hermana española.

Tomorrow we are flying to Vigo! I’m so excited to meet my Spanish host sister.
